Wasini Full Day Tour includes tours to the Shimoni caves where the slaves were held before transportation. Dhow cruise in the Indian ocean with Dolphin spotting and if lucky swim
with the dolphins.Snorkelling at the kisite Mpunguti, marine park. Sea food lunch at Wasini Island plus cultural tour of the local community. Itinerary 6:30am Pick up from your Mombasa, Diani Hotel for a careful drive to Shimoni village. 8:30Am begin with a tour of Shimoni caves and learn more about the slave’s trade and the routes used during colonial times.
Approximately 9:30Am, Arrival at the Shimoni Jet-You will board a traditional Arabic Dhow and sail into the Wasini channel. The day is focused on the relaxation, viewing stunning and colorful surroundings. Begin with dolphin spotting. If you are lucky get a once in a lifetime to swim with the dolphins and possibly turtles as you snorkel and discover the marine life.
After a wonderful experience at Kisite Mpunguti marine National park, head to the island where you get to have a sea food lunch and soft cold drinks.
2:00pm-Go for a historical tour about the local community and their way of life Wasini village. However, there is always a home guide available to provide additional information on
the structural design, original plants and fauna, as well as to familiarize you to local tales and
ethinicity. Bid goodbye to the Island and head to the mainland where our guide will be waiting to
take you back to your hotel or accommodation base in the early evening.
